Cleveland Amnesty Baron Davis

The Cleveland Cavaliers have decided to waive Baron Davis through the league’s amnesty clause.

Cavs Bring Back Anthony Parker

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard/forward Anthony Parker to a contract, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.

“Bringing back Anthony was a high priority for us. We place great value on the leadership, professionalism and veteran presence he brings both on the court and in the locker room,” said General Manager Chris Grant. “His high basketball IQ, ability to shoot with range and play solid perimeter defense made re-signing him extremely important for us.” Read the rest of this entry »

Jamison To Miss 5-7 Weeks

Antawn Jamison sustained a fracture of his left little finger during Sunday’s loss to Philadelphia.

X-rays taken at The Q confirmed the fracture. He was re-examined on Monday and it was determined that surgery will be required to repair his fractured finger.

He is now scheduled to have that surgery on Tuesday and is projected to miss 5 – 7 weeks. Read the rest of this entry »

Varejao Out For Season

Scrappy, steady center Anderson Varejao is done for the season with a torn ankle tendon that will require surgery, another major blow to the bottoming-out Cavs, who are not close to recovering after star LeBron James left as a free agent last summer.

Cavs Sign Lowry To Offer Sheet

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Houston Rockets restricted free-agent guard Kyle Lowry to a four-year offer sheet worth around $24 million, league source told Yahoo! Sports.

The Rockets have seven days to match the offer sheet and are seriously considering it, a league source said. Lowry averaged 9.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season for the Rockets. Read the rest of this entry »
