Bulls Sign Gray

RealGM has the press release

The Chicago Bulls re-signed center Aaron Gray on Tuesday.Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Chicago drafted the 7-0, 270-pound center with the 49th selection in NBA Draft 2007. During his two seasons with the Bulls, he has appeared in 117 games (19 starts), and averaged 3.9 ppg and 3.3 rpg in 11.4 mpg.

No surprises here. Gray was always expected to be back with the Bulls next season … mainly since nobody could see another team offering him more than the minimum, and since he was a restricted free agent and Chicago had a nominal interest in bringing him back the low-level offer was pretty much a lock to be matched.

So here we are almost three months later and with Gray still without an offer over the minimum and now he’s back signing with the Bulls.

Good Signing

Aaron Gray is a solid third string center. He’s a useful player for Chicago and provides good depth for the roster, and he comes at a good price. Nice bit of business for Chicago.
