Free Agent Transactions — By Date

I’ll be keeping a list of all transactions here. Transactions will be sorted by date, team-by-team, and contract size. Links to each is available from the Free Agency page near the top of the site.


No contracts can be signed for another week. Agreements prior to then are verbal agreements.

July 1st

July 2nd

  • Dallas Mavericks to sign Marcin Gortat to a five year full MLE ($33 million) contract. Gortat is a restricted free agent, Orlando are not expected to match. Update: Orlando matches the offer.
  • Los Angeles Lakers sign Ron Artest to a three year $18 million contract. Update: It’s a five year deal with an early termination option after three years.
  • Houston Rockets sign Trevor Ariza to a five year full MLE ($33 million) contract. Update: The Rockets used the Disable Player Exception to sign Ariza, not the MLE, after the league granted it following Yao’s injury.
  • Dallas Mavericks sign Quinton Ross. The terms of the contract are not disclosed yet.

July 5th

  • Boston Celtics sign Rasheed Wallace to a 3 year MLE contract with a player option on the third season.
  • San Antonio Spurs sign Marcus Haislip to a contract. The value of the deal is not yet known (likely LLE, maybe minimum)

July 6th

July 8th

  • San Antonio Spurs sign Antonio McDyess to a three year MLE contract, with the third year being partially guaranteed.
  • Atlanta Hawks agree to terms with Zaza Pachulia over a four year $19 million contract.
  • Chicago Bulls have signed Jannero Pargo to a one year contract worth $2 million.
  • Indiana Pacers have signed Dahntay Jones to a four year $11 million contract.
  • Cleveland Cavaliers re-sign Anderson Varejao to a six year contract worth $50 million.
  • A massive four team trade has been completed between the Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, and the Memphis Grizzlies. Hedo Turkoglu and Shawn Marion are the main players in the deal, involved in a sign and trade. For details on the transaction click here and here.

  • Indiana Pacers sign Earl Watson one day after the Oklahoma City Thunder waived him.

  • Milwaukee Bucks sign Hakim Warrick to a one year $3 million contract.
  • Memphis Grizzlies sign Marcus Williams to a one year contract. Terms on the deal are not available, but it’s believed to be a make good (partially guaranteed) contract.

  • Milwaukee Bucks sign Carlos Delfino in a sign and trade. Delfino signed a three year contract worth around $3.5 million per year, with the third year being a team option and the second year only partially guaranteed.
