Heat forward Udonis Haslem is progressing faster than even he expected, but coach Erik Spoelstra indicated Tuesday that Haslem’s return still might be a month away.Haslem participated in a high-energy shooting drill Tuesday after the Heat’s morning shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena, moving well through drills and situations. He had a more extensive workout Monday but reported pain in his surgically repaired foot to the Heat’s medical staff. Currently, Haslem’s routine consists of one heavy workout day followed by a light day.
“It’s a little sore [Tuesday], but I’m definitely making strides, heading in the right direction,” Haslem said. “Way further along than I anticipated right now.”
Haslem’s return isn’t imminent, though.
Miami aren’t winning the East without Udonis Haslem. They need him back and up to speed as soon as possible.
