Veteran center Brad Miller has agreed to a three-year contract worth nearly $15 million with the Houston Rockets, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.The Rockets were always considered a strong contender to win the summer race to sign Miller. He attracted interested from numerous teams but was strongly lobbied to move to Houston by Rockets coach Rick Adelman and guard Kevin Martin after the trio’s success in Sacramento. Scola Returns To Houston

Scola reached agreement with the Rockets on a new five-year deal Thursday, and was happy to share how thrilled he was with the news.

“I feel great. I feel great,” Scola, 30, said. “I’m going to be in the place I wanted to be. I’m so happy.”

Celtics Bring Back Nate Robinson

Nate Robinson is back in Beantown.

Robinson, an unrestricted free agent, has agreed to return to the Celtics, a source confirmed to ESPNBoston.com.

Mavs Sign Mahinmi

The Mavericks are close to signing former San Antonio Spurs center Ian Mahinmi, NBA sources said Sunday.

Mahinmi (6-11) played 26 games for the Spurs last season and is an unrestricted free agent. He averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in six minutes per game last season. Bobcats Sign Shaun Livingston

Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown likes big point guards and isn’t put off by reclamation projects.

Shaun Livingston fits both descriptions. A 6-7 point guard and former lottery pick, Livingston suffered a horrific knee injury while playing for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2007.
