there is no question, the lakers got screwed out of some free throws, but i thought they weren’t aggressive enough for my liking.
The Lakers constant reaching in cost them most of those FTs. They were slapping and hacking away with silly soft fouls, like Boston were in the first round against Atlanta. Add in their poor over-zealous help defense and now you have an open lane to paint off the ball. Those two factors were always going to work against them.
Still there was a lot of calls that went Boston’s way. It’s a rare day when I say something negative about the refs performance as a whole but in that game it definitely did favour Boston and in a significant way.
